Are you a Republican? You are a racist!

At least according to Barak Obama, who painted all Republicans with a broad ‘racist‘ brush.  Obama, who began his campaign as a ‘post-racial’ candidate who could ‘bridge the divide between white and black, is now suggesting that Republicans as a group will use fear and racism to beat him in November.  Most Republicans, like myself aren’t mindless, single-issue, white trash, racist voters as Obama would have you believe.  Ironically, the only positive prospect of having Obama in the White House is the idea that an African American would win.  I had always assumed, as the party of Lincoln, the GOP would be the first party to offer an African American presidential candidate (perhaps Mrs. Rice). Unfortunately we got stuck with McCain, the anti-Republican Republican.

Now instead of running on the merits and defeating McCain simply by showing up (i.e. he is 15 points ahead now, and McCain isn’t getting any younger) he has decided to use race to win.  It is deplorable and I resent the fact that he is calling ME a racist.  Shame on you Obama.  Shame on you!
