Dallas Startup Happy Hour

Thursday night I announced that we would be hosting a ‘startup happy hour‘ on Friday at 5:30.  I counted around 15 people, but subsequently I have been informed perhaps as many as 26 people attended.  An outside group and an inside group.  I really enjoyed meeting some new people and catching up with some old acquaintances.  Some attendees had a little too much ‘happy’ and ended up staying at the Ritz (at $400/night), ouch.  We plan to start hosting these at least once a month, but next time we will give you more than 12 hours notice (Photo left to right: Alex, Bill, Christopher and Brian):

On a side note, Brian Jones and Scott Ryan had a bet that Austin Pendleton (of My Cousin Vinny, Amistad, Dirty Work and lots of TV shows) was sitting at the next table.  We confirmed with his publicist (that night) that it was in fact him, despite the fact that he denied it when I asked him if he was Austin Pendleton.  So Brian, Scott wants his $1,000 in small unmarked bills.
