Chris Messina wrote the post that explains why Facebook will NEVER have my full attention.  I won’t bother to try to analyze his post, simply point to it: Facebook, the USSR, communism, and train tracks.

    Interesting article. I also think to be honest that Facebook is a bit of an empty vessel. I have a Facebook account, but it’s not anything that’s genuinely providing use or value. I wrote a little while ago on SarahInTampa, Why Facebook Is Useless. The basic premise is that it’s just a time waster. There’s a lot of social networking services out there which provide value (or at least potential value). Facebook isn’t one of them.
