Obama Clinton 2008, why not?
May 22, 2008

It seems obvious to me that Hillary Clinton would be the perfect running mate for Barack Obama. Why is Barack so adamantly opposed to having her on the ticket? I am no fan of either Obama or Clinton, but it would seem they each attract a very different constituent and together would almost certainly secure the White House for the Democrats. Obama’s advisers are reaching out to “anybody but Clinton” including Arizona’s Janet Napolitano, Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas and Tim Kaine of Virginia; foreign policy experts like former Georgia Sen. Sam Nunn, Connecticut Sen. Chris Dodd or Delaware Sen. Joe Biden; or other senators such as Missouri’s Claire McCaskill and Virginia’s Jim Webb.
Bill Clinton has been publicly reaching out to Obama and his staffers suggesting that Hillary has, “earned nothing short of an offer to be Obama’s running mate.” Hillary’s strength with women, Latinos, senior citizens and blue-collar whites will be absolutely necessary if Obama hopes to win the White House. The two candidates agree on 100% of the issues and Obama is guaranteed that Hillary has ZERO skeletons in her closet (something Obama can’t claim). What is the issue? Ideas?
