Startup Advice Roundup

As Fred Wilson noticed, it has been ‘Startup Advice Weekend‘ in the blogosphere.  The first post I read was from Mark Cuban who offered ‘A Couple of My Rules for Startups’ (couple being 12).  His best points (from my perspective):

  • If you have an exit strateg, it’s not an obsession (previously he suggested not starting a company unless it was an obsession for you).
  • Sales Cures All.
  • Shoot yourself before spending money on an expresso machine (referring to Jason’s 12th suggestion that startups should buy one).
  • NEVER EVER EVER hire a PR firm.
  • Make the job fun for employees.
