YawpBox Launch!
January 15, 2008
If you believe the hype, the next YouTube may be right here in Dallas. YawpBox is a recently launched video sharing site that happens to be hosted in our data center in the INFOMART. Gary and his team at Imaginuity (another one of our clients) partnered with BusterPowers LLC to launch the site. They even gave me a YawpBox t-shirt ~ very cool!
From their site: YawpBox.com, is a web 2.0 social networking web site that unites people through the sharing of common experiences. Yawpers, a term referencing YawpBox users, are able to create personal profiles documenting personal events. These life experiences are creatively expressed through the use of photos, video, audio and journal entries. Other Yawpers are then able to view the profiles and leave comments about their own similar situations. These online correspondences result in “yawp connections” in which Yawpers exchange tips, suggestions, future aspirations and most commonly, just a good laugh. YawpBox.com also connects Yawpers through its extensive gaming technology. The site features an array of computer games, making it a haven for Yawpers to meet and engage in friendly competition.
