I am a uverse installation tech in TN.I have done about 75 installs in the past three months between TN & GA. Average install has been 2 to 4 hrs. I had a six hour install last week because I was connecting 8 tvs {no rabbit ears, get your facts straight mr muse,Its 4 live streams} Also }. Also the customer was very happy with the quality of the TWO hd streams and two standard streams. Keep in mind also that the standard channels look almost like hd channels as well.90percent of my installs I have done qualified for 2 hd streams as well. You can watch recorded tv from every tv in the system and soon the 1 dvr will be upgraded to total home dvr.

The one thing I would say for sure to ask is to find out how many HD channels is supported in your area. I left Time Warner for U-Verse and you can only record 1 HD channel and then can't watch ANY HD channel except that one you are recording until its over.

They are apparently updating my area to support 2 HD channels but that is still behind Time Warner HD.

I also have the same problem with HD channels pausing.

Hmm...I'm satisfied with Uverse so far (a month) but it's just my wife and I. I'm sure if we had more than two televisions, I might run into a problem.

Recording HDTV is definitely not ideal on Uverse, but the ability to record four programs at one time has been nice.

We had Tivo (which we love) with Dish Network previously. Dish Network was a nightmare so in comparison to Dish Network...Uverse has been amazing.

Thanks for the pointers though, I will keep them in mind when getting more televisions.
