Nine months later. . .

October 16, 2006

It has been nine months since we first released PodServe.  Just to recap:

  • February - Alpha Launch (still in alpha)
  • February - eHub (Emily Chang) covers PodServe
  • March - TechCrunch covers PodServe
  • July - PodServe wins “Best in Show” and “Peoples’ Choice at Under the Radar
  • August - Fox’s FX Network engages Big in Japan to build private label version of PodServe
  • September - INC Magazine selects PodServe as “Best for Podcasting.”

What does October have in store for PodServe?  Just as a teaser I can tell you another major television series has signed on for a custom Fancast install.  Also, there are several variations of PodServe in the works including:

  • Entertainmentcasts - for many types of entertainment properties
  • Teamcast - for sports teams
  • Weathercast - for news stations
  • Dreamcast - a marketing effort around greatly extending the wake up call concept
  • Contestcast - another marketing effort around allowing users to connect directly to win contests and prize give-aways
  • Salescast - connecting regional and local sales teams
  • Datecast - helping people meet each other offline

PodServe helped Big in Japan break into a whole new segment called Entertainment Marketing.  Just goes to show you, you never know where your customers will lead you - just be open to their needs.
